Prof. Alfred J. Vella Re-elected as UM’s Rector

Professor Alfred J. Vella has been re-elected by Council as Rector and will be leading the University of Malta for another five-year term. Two names were nominated by Council members by the deadline of 11th March 2021. After a presentation by both candidates today, the election was held afterwards due to the Council members casting their vote. Professor Alfred J. Vella’s second term as Rector begins on 1st July 2021.
