Beauty Day for Mount Carmel Patients

Posted On February 11, 2020

A day of pampering for the female patients of Mount Carmel is in the works. A Facebook post sharing the idea was made on Saturday the 8th of February.

The good Samaritan seeking aid to put together this little do is Dehnia Mizzi. She is an employee at Mount Carmel and has frequently looked to the general public to seek aid for her patients. Just yesterday she was asking for some clothes for one of them.

In her post she asked for anyone willing to volunteer their time or abilities for a beauty day. “If anyone would be willing to donate either their time or products…to help us pamper our patients” said Mizzi in her post.

Mount Carmel is a mental hospital that has been described in the past as; “a truly calming experience for patients who stay there for a week or two, but maddeningly tedious for those who stay there for much longer.” by Tim Diacono a journalist for Lovin Malta.

Certainly, a little beauty day for the female patients at Mount Carmel would help to lift the s called maddening atmosphere. The post was well received, a few student nail technicians offered up their services while others enquired about what products they could provide.

If you can help in any way make sure to contact Denhia Mizzi.
