Celebrate Freshers’ Week with USPA!

Posted On October 20, 2020

Freshers’ Week is the busiest week at UM – and USPA intends to keep YOU busy too! USPA (University Students of Performing Arts Association) is one of the many university student organizations who have been working hard with the current situation to aid this year’s Freshers!

To kickstart Freshers’ Week, USPA will be holding an online USPA Information Meeting today @12:30 on Zoom to introduce themselves, explain what exactly USPA is and what they do. Following on that, they also scheduled two USPA contact hours on Zoom if anyone has any individual questions.

When will USPA have their physical stand on campus, you may be asking… THIS WEDNESDAY! Make sure to pass by and meet the executive members between 9am-3:30pm at Pjazza Dun Karm. You can have a socially distanced talk with USPA, sign up to be a member and grab a can of free Kinnie!

Finally, instead of the usual Freshers Get-Together event, USPA is organizing a Hybrid Quiz Night on a Friday 23rd October @8pm on Zoom, with prizes to be won, hosted by our third year Performing Arts student, Matthew Cassar. It will be a great opportunity to meet students from other courses and years!

The organization also recently formed an USPA Forum, a Facebook group for our members, which is going to serve as a platform for discussion, networking and celebration of the performing arts on campus and in Malta, as well as act as a noticeboard for more information regarding USPA’s events and opportunities that will be held throughout the year. The group is private, but you can request to be added through this link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/822027275002221/

More information can be found on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/USPA.malta
