Everybody loves Halloween, right?! I mean how could one possibly not love the concept of it; free sweeties, pumpkins, orange light, silly and fun costumes, happy trick or treaters… The list could never end. Due to the current situation, parties are a no-go or if you do meet up with people – please be safe. If you are to choose the stay home and get cavities option then here are the top ten Halloween films that bring back some nostalgia and fun!

1. The Nightmare Before Christmas

An absolute classic. The soundtrack alone makes everyone sing along with the pumpkin king. If you have not watched it yet {how even?!} then I promise that you won’t regret it.

2. Beetlejuice

An oldie but a goodie, very wacky but keeps you on your toes with the downright amusing behaviour of the main character.

3. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

A musical slasher film that has some crazy hair in it but the main characters compliment each other so well in this movie that you would think them an item in real life.

4. Corpse Bride

Another classic film with a good soundtrack. The lighting alone in this animation makes it perfect.

5. Casper

Another oldie. A cartoon film of just your average friendly ghost and the mischief he gets up to.

6. Hocus Pocus

What is there not to love about this film? The soundtrack, the costumes, the “Californian, laid back, tie dye point of view” as well as a black cat that tugs at the audience’s heartstrings.

7. The Crow

Based off a comic, a deceased rock musician comes back to life in order to carry out some vengeance on those who did him wrong and the love of his life.

8. Edward Scissorhands

Pop Culture insists that you know of this movie. The dedication of Johnny Depp to his costume for this movie alone makes it worth your while.

9. The Addams Family

A supernatural black comedy film based off a 60’s cartoon, nearly everyone knows of Wednesday’s attitude and the loving relationship of Morticia and Gomez.

10. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney Version)

A very old animated film but definitely a trip down a dark and mysterious memory lane.

What are you waiting for!? Get a bowl of your tastiest treats and binge-watch all your Halloween favs. Happy Halloween and enjoy your marathon!
